Evil Is Back
Welcome ladies and genitial-men! Here is the new (evil) blog of yours truly! It has been one hell of a spring and summer. I got devilishly good grades this past semester and have recently landed a new job at Vis-Art video in Carrboro. Question: Planning to see a show at the Cat’s Cradle? Great! I’ll be working most likely that night on a Saturday or Friday you plan to go. Going to Amante’s Pizza to get some bites? Great! Pop on by and I’ll rent you a VHS or DVD. Yes, we have VHS (don’t vomit). Which leads me to a good point; can you go to Blocksucker video and rent a porno? (I honestly don’t know) No! Can you rent a foreign film from Netflix? (I had a membership for six months, cost too much for my poor ass) NO! Vis-Art is the place to be! You know what, its only been five days, but hell, please come and support this place. Vis-Art people are the bomb and on the second day of work, my manager asked me about DSI. I told her there are free shows on Friday nights for Mister Diplomat (cheesy, but true).
Well any whose, this summer should be fun. I plan on taking DSI classes 1-3 this summer through the fall. Although with school and a new job, my time may very well be short. I do miss the theater honestly. I see a lot of my fellow improvisers once every weekend having a GD blast doing what they love. I miss doing what I love. I miss having that experience. I loved coaching the past CageMatch teams I had. I love teaching, giving my friends and new actors a new POV and new interest in what they’re here to accomplish. I, however, love being on stage more. It’s not about being the funniest, it’s never been a competition (unless it’s CageMatch). It’s not about being popular, it’s the reaction, the energy you receive from the audience. The people who don’t know your name will remember the character you played two or more months from now. There’s a show I loved, PTSIAM. Remember that? Yeah, me too.
One, two, three…EVIL!
