It’s Over and Done, The Party Has Just Begun.
Well yes indeed it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. Seven weeks to be almost exact. Wowsa, where have I been, what have I done. Not much to tell you. Right now I’m sitting at Open Eye working on a new project called Beyond the Peacocks. It’s a show about a brother and sister (Bryan and Leslie Peacock) who lead an interesting life looking for love and milk in a small town (much like Carrboro). The shows timeline is stretched out into different cities and times. Like in the pilot after the first scene we see two KKK members chasing a black man in Mississippi in 1960. What’s that all about? How’s that connect? You’ll have to read to see. Yeah, shit dog. Man.
I’ve finished the six week run of the Super Sparkle Showcase. It was a glorious time and I don’t think I can say anymore of how fun and talented the Workx are then I already did in my previous post. I really do hope we have a second season. I love Jason Aguarius and I was really getting into his skin, I don’t want to lose that. I plan on going back to ComedyWorkx a lot because they have a lot of interesting shows lined up for Sat nights. Besides I’ve made new friends there and I don’t want to lose connections.
I recently discovered and was re-introduced to a short film I was in two years ago called “Otherwise Pandemonium” based off of the Nick Hornby short story. The guys I was introduced to, to do the film lost contact with me and I guess I just plume forgot about the whole thing. It’s a really impressive film though and I thought I did good in it. Check it out at www.ghostmap.com. Click on WORK SAMPLES and you’ll see the title there.
I’m really trying to write more and do stuff now. It’s weird being out of school because now I have time to do stuff I actually want to do. I have a job that oddily enough for part time gives me a lot of hours so I’m working more than I thought. Yet on the off days, shit dog, man, I can actually go see a movie or sit down and write something I’ve been thinking about for days. I’m still trying to figure out how to raise enough money to produce Telegraph Road. A show that’s been on the back burner for a while. It’s my dream still to make the show a reality. Ted Hobgood and I are still gung ho, but at times the inspirition to get off our ass is wanning. Ted has a job that keeps him busy most of the week and when he does have time to do stuff, it’s projects like CageMatch that keep him busy at night and on the weekends. I wish he or I could win the lottery and we could kiss this town goodbye and film the whole damn thing in a real studio with real paid actors!
Shit dog, man. That would be cool.
I have this idea about doing a Zaxby’s parody commercial. Have you see these? They’re ridiculous! Go to youtube and check it out.
I love it! Why is that ending there!? Glorious!
Man. Shit dog.
